Richard Graduated from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1997. He spent 4 years as a Dairy cattle vet in cold and windy Warrnambool in Victoria before travelling around Australia working as a locum veterinarian. Richard has spent time working in mixed and small animal practices in Western Australia, Darwin and Port Maquarie, treating a diverse range of animals.Richard has worked for 4 Paws Vets in Townsville for over 8 years. Richard’s interest include fishing, camping. 4WDing and large breed dogs.

Michael Jensen

Practice Owner (BVSc Hons)

Bio
Born and bred in country Victoria, Michael completed Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne in 1993. Starting in mixed practice, Mike went on to work in rural practices throughout Victoria and then ventured overseas to work in the United Kingdom for 3 years. Mike has loved the relaxed atmosphere and warmer weather of Northern Queensland since working in Townsville between 2001 and 2008, and thus returned to become a business owner with Richard at the end of 2013. Mike is as much a cat lover as he is with dogs. He has a passion for fixing things – so if he isn’t ‘fixing’ animals during surgery, he can be found at home making things, doing woodwork, metal work or mechanics. He enjoys AFL and is involved with the local University Hawks football team, which his son has also adopted.

Emmi Amos

Emmi joined the 4 Paws team in 2013. With a background of management outside the veterinary field she enjoys the challenge of balancing patient, client and team needs. Originally from Victoria she loves the warm weather. She has called Townsville home since 2005 and loves the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in North Queensland. At home her 2 large dogs and young children keep her busy and entertained!

Camille Armstrong

Bio
Camille is a Townsville local who completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at James Cook University in 2016. She is enjoying the challenges involved in the veterinary industry and is particularly interested in enhancing her knowledge in canine and feline medicine, and behaviour at 4 Paws. In her free time Camille can be found on a touch football field or at a local Cowboys game. Her pride and joy are her two loud and fluffy dogs Lilly and Noah.

Felicity Banks

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Bio
Felicity graduated from Melbourne University in 2008. She has previously worked in Rockhampton before moving to Townsville. She has been working at 4 Paws Vets for 3 years and is currently working part time. She is kept busy looking after her son, 4 dogs and Pirate the 1 eyed cat. Her interests include geriatric medicine, and animal nutrition.

Catherine Rowlands

Catherine joined the 4paws team in 2015 after spending 10 months doing volunteer work in a veterinary practice. Catherine grew up on a tropical fruit and cattle property in Far North Queensland. Her goals are to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and to travel overseas to volunteer in domestic animal clinics and wildlife animal sanctuaries. Catherine also has an interest in Holistic medicine and when she is not working she enjoys cooking, boxing, photography and spending time with her family including their two dogs Chai and Jake.

Brydie Webb

Bio

After completing her Certificate IV in veterinary Nursing, Brydie moved to Canberra where she worked within a cat clinic for two years before moving to Townsville.
Although she loves all pets, cats are a special interest and passion of hers.
Brydie shares her home with her German Shepherd ‘Zeus’ and her fat ginger Cat ‘Pumpkin’.

Joss Wallace

Joss Wallace completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing over in Broome WA in 2004. She then moved over to Townsville in 2007and joined the 4 Paws team. Joss finds the everyday challenges and diversity of Veterinary Nursing to be extremely rewarding and fullfilling. Joss enjoys relaxing with the family and her pets. She shares her home with Billy the Bull Arab X, Isabella the Cat, Victoria the Rat and the Chickens.

Elizabeth Frequin

Lizzy has been working as a veterinary nurse for 5 years. She has completed her Cetrificate IV in veterinary nursing. Lizzy has a very kind heart and loves adopting stray and orphaned animals. Liz shares her home with Kingston her King Charles Cavalier, Pecker her Sun conure, and Addison the tabby cat.

Jolene Hansen

Jolene is Townsville born and bred. She has been Vet nursing at 4 Paws Veterinarians Bohle Surgery for over 10 years and lives locally in the area. She shares her house with her 2 young daughters, cats and guinea pigs. She enjoys the challenges and rewards that being a vet nurse provides.

Emma Wood

Emma has spent the last 4 years working in the animal industry.  She started off at a local Townsville boarding kennel, and for the last two years has been working with 4Paws Veterinarians.  Emma is currently working on her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.  Her fur babies at home include a Siberian Husky, a Border Collie & two cats of which she has orphaned and ended up keeping.

Natalie Pegoraro

Natalie began her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with the 4 Paws team in early 2015. Natalie comes from a farming background in the Burdekin and has had a passion for animals her entire life. Natalie shares her home with Penny, an orphaned kitten who she handraised from 2 weeks of age.

Claire Curtis

Claire joined the 4 Paws team in 2014 and is currently studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Claire has loved animals from a young age and after volunteering at the Townsville RSPCA she knew she wanted to pursue a career as a veterinary nurse. She shares her home with Pip the Labrador who loves swimming at the beach.
